Mon Power will disrupt electric service on Monday, October 8 in a portion of the western section of Monongalia County, according to the Morgantown Police Department.

The disruption will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is necessary so that crews can relocate poles along Route 7 to improve service reliability, officials said.

The outage will affect approximately 1,300 customers in the area. Officials said the customers served from the substation should receive a phone notification from Mon Power.

The areas affected include Route 7 from Core west to the west side of Blacksville, including Clay Battelle School; Mooresville; Pentress; Jakes Run; Days Run; Behler, Hagans, Pedlar, Macdale, and Mason Dixon Park Road.
