Fire Destroys Vacant House in Barbour County - WBOY.com: Clarksburg, Morgantown: News, Sports, Weather

A fire destroyed a vacant house in Barbour County early Wednesday morning.

It started just outside of Elk City around 12:20 a.m.

The house was already engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived.

Philippi Fire Chief John Green said there's no word yet on what caused the fire but he said that it looks to be suspicious.

The house was a total loss.
