Union Mission in Fairmont Receives Food Donations from Results Radio

Posted: Updated:

Results Radio dropped off more than 300 pounds of non-perishable foods at the Union Mission in Fairmont Wednesday.

The radio station held a week-long food drive for the mission and entered everyone who donated 10 or more items into a raffle for WVU football tickets.

The Mission said it is in desperate need of donations and that it can't thank the community enough for its support.

"It's overwhelming," said George Batten, of the Union Mission. "It's very satisfying. It's going to meet the need. It's just doing a lot, and a little goes a long way."

Barrackville Middle School recently donated more than 500 non perishable items to the Mission.
