Clarksburg City Council approved a second reading of the ordinance to acquire the Rose Garden Theater, Thursday night.
Clarksburg City Council met Thursday night to discuss ‘The Robinson Grand Theater', also known as the ‘Rose Garden Theater', that the city plans to acquire.

An Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center resident was chosen as the Ultimate Mountaineer fan after an online competition held by West Virginia University, according to a news release from WVU.

WVU fans from across the world chose Stan Gould as the Ultimate Mountaineer fan.

Gould, who suffered from cerebral palsy from birth, wasn't able to attend college due to his disability but even though he did not attend WVU for school, that didn't get in the way of the passion he had for the Mountaineers.

"We need to be proud of who we are, show support of our team and our state," he said. "These members of Mountaineer teams are young people who work very hard to represent us, and we owe our support and loyalty to them as they endeavor to do that."

Gould won two Hail W.Va. or Game Day passes, plus two suite tickets in the alumni box and a parking pass for the Kansas game, courtesy of the WVU Alumni Association.

Along with the tickets, Gould won a WVU prize pack that includes a Commemorative WVU Orange Bowl helmet and football, plus the 2012 Official WVU Fan Shirt and other great officially licensed WVU products, officials said.

The other finalists for the competition were Betsy Copen, Patrick Daley, Josh Eppinger, Jeremy Hatcher, James Layton, Miguel Sanchez and Dillon Tucker.
