West Virginia University held its Healthcare Expo Friday at the Morgantown Mall.

Officials said it is one of the largest wellness events in the area.

Those who came to the Expo could get screenings from more than 40 exhibitors from different programs at WVU Healthcare, Health Sciences and other affiliated organizations.

"A lot of them don't have healthcare maybe, insurance or they just don't know what is out there to help their individual needs," said Jan Johnson, of WVU Hospital. "Such as blood drawing, hearing protection, dental care, healthcare so it's to get out there and see what's in this area for them."

Most of the screenings given at the Expo were free.
