An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

The Marion County Adult and Community Education Center held its graduation and recognition ceremony at Fairmont State University Tuesday evening.

The Marion County Transit Authority is taking the next step to renovate 401 Monroe Street.

It wants to use the building for additional transportation.

The current transfer station at the courthouse is on a slope.

This location is flatter, which will make it easier for buses to pick up people who need assistance.

It has hired a contracting firm to work on the fascia for the roof, which will allow for gutter installation.

The roof installation bidding process can then begin, with hopes of finishing the roof by December.

Work will then begin on the windows.
