The 12th annual FBI Jerry Dove Memorial 5K was held at the FBI Center in Bridgeport on Saturday
The 5K was in honor of Jerry Dove who is a native to West Virginia, and was killed in a line of duty.
More than 400 racers ran along Jerry Dove Drive and inside the FBI Complex.
Organizers said rain couldn't discourage people from coming out in support.
"Well we were out here we have this every year. Its on the course and we also have a kids K that follows the race so kids ten and under get to come and they get to run too and everybody gets a medal for the kids K," said Julie Minnocci.
The ticket for the race cost $20. The proceeds will be donated to a fallen officer or a event for law enforcement.
