Struck Sunday Evening with wind gusts to 100 MPH.
An air sampling at Johnson Elementary School in Harrison County has indicated the presence of mold, according to a news release from Susan Collins, Harrison County Superintendent.
Collins said corrective measures have been taken to eliminate the mold, but follow up results have shown an increase in mold concentrations in some classrooms.
The Harrison County Board of Education has made arrangements to temporarily relocate two classrooms to other rooms within the school and to a modular unit on site.
The school board will hold a meeting to address the situation further Tuesday, October 9 at 4 p.m.
