The Harrison County School Board held an emergency meeting Tuesday to deal with high levels of mold discovered in three Johnson Elementary School classrooms.
The board approved a bid from Basement Systems of West Virginia to fix the problem for more than $168,000.
Students in those classrooms have been moved to other rooms while cleaning is underway.
Superintendent Susan Collins said they'll have students back as soon as possible.
"We're actually doing the cleaning of the rooms as we speak. That's going on now, we've started the process and we will be bringing in custodial staff to assist us in cleaning the rooms," said Collins.
Collins said the rooms will be safe after they're cleaned. Basement Systems plans to begin work to keep them that way by next week.
