One Arrest After Daytime Robbery in Downtown Morgantown

    An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

One man was beaten and robbed Tuesday afternoon in downtown Morgantown.

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department arrested one person, and is looking for another after the robbery at the intersection of Pleasants and High Streets around 5:20 p.m.

24 year old Shawn Curtin Marple of Morgantown is now charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy. Detectives are looking for a second man who reportedly fled the scene on foot. His identity is being withheld at this time.

The victim's identity is also being withheld.
