Pretty much everyone knows how things run at a graduation ceremony. Students walk across the stage and get that diploma they've been working for. But what about how the thousands of people sitting in the
Seven entrepreneurs presented their ideas at an Entrepreneur's Cafe at the Harrison County Senior Center, hosted by Vision Shared, a nonprofit organization for economic development.
Event attendees voted for the best presentation on the night.
The winner received a cash prize of more than $1,000 to help make that idea a reality.
Organizers said even if a business doesn't win, it can still benefit from the program.
"We've had others that maybe didn't win the night that get referrals that get new business, advertisers in some cases, to an ability to take their product to a different venue," said Rebecca Randolph of Vision Shared.
The next Entrepreneurs Cafe will be November 13.
