We have all heard the saying, "A dog is a man's best friend." You may never know how true that statement is until you meet a dog that comes from the program "Paws 4 People."

Vandals caused serious damage to a Lewis County ball field Wednesday night.
Damage to the Jane Lew Pony League Baseball Field is estimated to be more than $25,000.
Vandals drove heavy equipment over the field, destroying one dugout and tearing up freshly laid sod.
They also flipped and totaled a piece of machinery used to maintain the field.
League organizers said they won't let vandals discourage them.
"We're going to get this fixed. It's for our Colt Division for Lewis County kids, and we're going to continue to get it renovated. It's a minor setback, and it's a shame because we've come a long way with it, but we're going to get things done," said Lewis County Pony League President John White.
White has already received some donations to help with the cost of repairs. If you'd like to help, call White at (304) 269-3632 for more information.
