BARBOUR COUNTY -

On Thursday night, the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce invited the public to meet local candidates for the November election.

Invitations were mailed to all candidates who will appear on the Barbour County ballot.

The auditorium of Philip Barbour High School was filled with potential voters. The forum allowed candidates and representatives to come and discuss their policies.

"I was wanting to get a good feeling about the candidates. Whether they be democratic or republic or independent. If he or she says what I like and what I think that sounds like the basics then that's probably who I'll vote for," said John Moats.

Each candidate or representative was called up to introduce themselves and talk about their campaign. They also answered questions written down and signed by members of the audience.
