An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

The Marion County Adult and Community Education Center held its graduation and recognition ceremony at Fairmont State University Tuesday evening.

The Fairmont General Hospital Foundation and the Healthplex Fitness Center held its inaugural Zumbathon on Saturday.
Dozens of people gathered in Middletown Mall to dance for a cause.
Participants each donated ten dollars or more toward the Foundation's plan to purchase a new mammography machine.
The Foundation only needs a little over $100,000 to reach its goal.
"We noticed that everyone has paid $10 and most people have even paid more then that," said Whitney Hatcher. "They know it goes for a good cause. They are really excited to participate in the campaign."
The Fairmont General Hospital Foundation will be holding several additional fundraisers in the near future.
They hope to have the new mammography unit in the building early next year.
