    An electrical fire destroyed a home in Harrison County Tuesday night. The Harrison County 911 Center said it started just after 12:15 a.m. on Locust Street in Salem. It said the fire appears to be suspicious.

The Morgantown Police Department is investigating a malicious wounding that happened in Morgantown Sunday morning.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. on Snider Street.

The victim was walking Snider Street when he was approached by two unknown subjects, and they started a physical altercation with the victim, police said.

The victim was struck several times by one of the two subjects with a machete.

The subjects are described as one black man and one white man wearing gold WVU hoodies, police said.

The victim was taken by the victim's friend to Ruby Memorial Hospital for treatment. The victim has since been treated and released.
