The hype for the Alderson-Broaddus football team was continuing to grow after ripping off seven straight wins to start its inaugural season.

But an unproductive second half against the United States Naval Academy's junior varsity team on Saturday soon shattered the dreams an undefeated season.

The Battlers led 23-21 at the half, but were then outscored 40-3 in the second half.

A-B will be back in action next Sunday 10/21, as they travel to Bridgewater College for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff.
