MORGANTOWN -
A children's book author from Wheeling stopped by the children's hospital in Ruby Memorial Hospital Monday.
JoAnn Davis, Author of Finding Pepper donated some books and stuffed animals on her visit to the Ronald McDonald House and Children's Hospital.
The former singer picked up writing children's books after she had surgery that she said left her without her singing voice.
"We would like to donate to all of the children in the entire world," said Davis. "So the fact that we were invited here, and now that we know so much more about what they're doing here I would donate my last dollar to them. I just think they are a wonderful, wonderful organization."
JoAnn spends much of her time reading in schools and hospitals, but said she does plan to work on a second book.
