A Lewis County High School student organized a debate Tuesday evening for candidates for county office.

Senior Sarah Law brought together all of the candidates for prosecuting attorney, magistrate, and sheriff.

Candidates for county commission recorded video responses since one could not attend.

Each candidate answered questions submitted by Lewis County students.

Law said she wants people to know exactly who it is they vote for each year.

"We've been trying to get the kids more involved in what's going on, and even though this is a local election, it's still a start. We just wanted to get the word out who the candidates are," said Law.

Fellow Lewis County High School senior Wilson Harvey served as moderator for the debate.
