The Upshur County Sheriff's Department is looking for a new Prevention Resource Officer for Buckhannon Upshur High School.

The sheriff's department said Deputy Doug Simons resigned last week for personal reasons.

It hasn't said who will fill the position temporarily or if it will hire another deputy.

Cpl. C.J. Day is a Prevention Resource Officer at Buckhannon Upshur Middle School. Day began that position at the beginning of the school year.
