Grafton's Anna Jarvis Elementary School is participating in a positive behavior support program called "Taking the High ROAD."

The plan teaches students how to work hard and play nice.

ROAD is an acronym. It stands for Responsibility, Organization, Accountability, and Determination.

Principal Jeanne Gren said student achievement, attendance, and behavior are a main priority at the school.

"Each month we will take a different trait and explore classroom lessons," Gren said. "A guidance counselor works with it, we all work with it."

Teachers reinforce the behavior trait throughout the month and students will vote on who they believe has demonstrated that character well.
