Election Day is getting close and Marion County is hoping to make it go as smoothly as possible.

The county began training its poll workers Monday for the 76 precincts.

Marion County Clerk Janice Cosco said all machines must be triple checked and workers must be trained properly before early voting begins.

More than 380 poll workers are learning their Election Day responsibilities.

"We have extra alternates trained as well," Cosco said. "We will probably have ten classes of instructions to accommodate and instruct the poll workers."

Early voting begins Wednesday, October 24.
