
A Reynoldsville resident was sentenced on October 17, 2012 by Judge Irene M. Keeley in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg, according to a news release from the office of the U.S. Attorney Northern District of West Virginia.
Gordon Mays, Jr., 47, was sentenced to 78 months in prison to be followed by lifetime supervision, according to the news release.
Mays pleased guilty on April 2, 2012, to one count of accessing with the intent to view child pornography via his computer and the Internet on October 30, 2010, in Reynoldsville, officials said.
Mays in currently out on bond and will self-report to the designated federal institution on January 4, 2013.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the W.Va. State Police Crimes Against Children Unit.
