AARP West Virginia has been active during this election cycle, and now that early voting has started in West Virginia, volunteers are taking their message to the street.
A series of "Honk & Wave" events have been scheduled throughout the state to draw attention to early voting in West Virginia.
"Millions of Americans recognize AARP as a reliable and objective source of information on an array of issues important to the 50-plus community," AARP West Virginia State Director Gaylene Miller said in a news release. "For more than 20 years, AARP has demonstrated a serious commitment to share candidate positions — in the candidates' own words — on the issues of critical importance to older Americans."
AARP is a non-profit membership organization that does not endorse candidates.
"We encourage West Virginia voters to learn all that they can about the candidates' positions on the issues that matter most to them, because it is your right, your decision, your vote," Miller said.
