Harrison County firefighters responded to a report of a house fire on Oak Street in Summit Park around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.
When authorities arrived at the scene, smoke was visible but the fire was quickly under control. Summit Park Fire Chief Brenda Fraggman said the cause of the fire is undetermined but she believes the fire may have originated in the attic.
The residents were not home at the time.
The Nutter Fort Fire Department also responded to the scene.
