The Department of Homeland Security has given the Salem Police Department a sub-grant in the amount of $25,000.

The West Virginia State Police responded to a fatal vehicle accident on Jesse's Run Road in Lewis County Thursday afternoon.

State Police said Roger Bunnell, 42, was trying to pass a hay trailer that was backing up into a driveway when he lost control of his GMC Envoy and was ejected from the vehicle.

Police said Bunnell was dead on the scene when they arrived.
