Firehouse Fridays: Selbyville VFD

Posted: Updated:

The Selbyville Volunteer Fire Department was formed in the early 1980s, branching off from the Rock Cave VFD.  Since then, it has grown and expanded.  The department averages between 50 and 60 calls a year, from medical emergencies to car accidents and structure fires.  These calls are mainly over hill tops and back roads, something common over southeastern Upshur County.

The department features Bingo twice a month to help raise funds for equipment and building needs.
