
A man was arrested Sunday in Lewis County and charged with maliciously wounding a healthcare worker.
West Virginia State Police said on Monday, Oct. 1, Daniel Hopkins, 36, repeatedly punched a female healthcare worker in the face at William R. Sharpe Hospital, in Weston, where he was a patient.
The victim suffered a broken bone in her face.
State Police said a co-worker was forced to intervene in the incident.
Hopkins is currently in Central Regional Jail, where his bail has not been set.
