The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said the woman who was "brutally beaten" in Anmoore on October 28 is now in stable condition and has moved out of Ruby Memorial Hospital and into a rehabilitation center for physical therapy.
The sheriff's department has arrested Anthony W Cartagena, 23, and charged him with first degree robbery, malicious wounding, first degree sexual assault, and assault during the commission of a felony.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said a beating in Anmoore Sunday morning does not appear to have been a "random act."
The department said a woman in her 30s is still listed in critical condition.
A person who lives near the post office found the woman unresponsive and contacted law enforcement.
The sheriff's department is still investigating.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is trying to find out who "brutally beat" a woman and left her near the Anmoore post office, Sunday morning.
The woman, who appears to be in her 30s, was found by someone who lives near the post office around 9:30 a.m., deputies said.
The victim was "non-responsive" and was taken to United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, before being transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, according to investigators. She is listed in critical condition, they also said.
