The Department of Homeland Security has given the Salem Police Department a sub-grant in the amount of $25,000.

The City of Bridgeport opened up an Emergency Operations Center but now it's offering resources to other communities that are in much worse shape.
"If any of the surrounding communities need any assistance we have crews that can help take care of the surrounding communities also," said Bridgeport City Clerk Andrea Kerr.
The city plans to send out spare generators.
The emergency operations center in Bridgeport closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday but citizens with storm damage still may call the city at 304-842-8200.
