The National Guard in Fairmont is sending out service men and women to help those in the mountain counties that are in need of assistance.

Superstorm Sandy didn't hit Marion County as hard as the mountain counties.

The National Guard has sent flood teams to Kingwood and Elkins which are some of the hardest hit areas in the state.

It is sending out additional teams to survey those areas.

Health and Welfare teams are on standby.
