Update:

Thornton and Grafton fire departments responded to a fire rekindle at the home, located off of Route 50.

Thornton's fire chief said the fire rekindled sometime after 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Division of Highways had to plow the driveway so firefighters and other first responders could access the scene.

No word on the cause of that fire.

Original Story:

Snowy conditions made it difficult for emergency crews to reach the scene of a house fire in Thornton early Wednesday morning.

It started around 12:50 a.m. at a home off of Route 50. That highway was closed in that part of Taylor County around 2:15 while emergency crews fought the fire.

It reopened at 6:10 a.m., according to the Department of Transportation.

Thornton Fire Department and Grafton Fire Department responded, and a tanker from Flemington and Preston County were also on the scene.

The Harrison County 911 Center said there were no injuries.
