The Marion County Commission has received four bids to go toward the construction of its new 911 Storage Building.

The Marion County 911 Dispatch Center plans to move its storage items into a brand new building in Fairmont.

The building will hold equipment and emergency supplies that are currently stored in the Marion County election center.

The new building will allow easier access to necessary supplies during emergencies.

"We can manage the resources very well from there," said Marion County 911 deputy director Chris McIntire. We will have staff to run the resource center. It's just in a really good location for us. Close to the interstate."

Marion County Commission plans to accept the bid from RM Buildings for $78,000.

They'll make the final decision after an attorney looks at the paperwork.
