Elkins and Beverly fire departments responded to two house fires Tuesday.
The first house fire occurred in the Woodridge Development off Route 250 in the Glenmore area.
Firefighters said the fire started under a fireplace in the three-story home.
Then, another house fire occurred on Poe Run, off Route 33.
The fire damaged the home's chimney.
Firefighters had to walk two miles with water extinguishers because the roads were impassable.
The fire departments in Elkins and Beverly responded to the fires.
