Emergency management agencies have been working around the clock with residents who need help.
The Upshur County Office of Emergency Management said power outages have been going up and down.
Fifty percent of the county lost power when the storm started.
That increased to as much as 80 percent.
The OEM said health and wellness teams have been checking on residents and that most of them were prepared for the storm.'
"The general public from our perception was much better prepared for this one, I think with the early warning notice we were able to start communicating with some of our public service districts and some other entities throughout the county, and helping them get prepared," said Jim Ferry, of the Upshur County Office of Emergency Management.
Ferry said it could be sometime next week before power is completely restored in Upshur County.
