The Harrison County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Clarksburg man in connection with a woman who was found badly beaten near the Anmoore Post Office last weekend.
The sheriff's department has arrested Anthony W. Cartagena, 23, and charged him with first degree robbery, malicious wounding, first degree sexual assault, and assault during the commission of a felony.
The woman is still in critical condition as of Monday, November 19, according to Sheriff Albert Marano. He said he doesn't believe the beating was a random act.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department worked with the Anmoore Police Department in solving this case.
