Bridgeport Police arrested a Randolph County man Wednesday on sex-related charges involving a minor.

Police arrested David McCarty II, 27 of Elkins.

McCarty was charged with solicitation of a minor via computer and employment of a minor for sexually explicit conduct after an incident last September.

A criminal complaint said McCarty contacted what he believed to be a 13-year-old girl from Bridgeport and sent inappropriate messages describing what he wanted to do to her. 

McCarty is in North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000.
