While certain parts of Randolph County are still digging out from the storm damage, others have put it behind them.
Power was restored at Davis and Elkins College.
Students returned for class Tuesday, some after staying in the Madden Student Center all of last week where the college was providing heat and food.
Davis and Elkins said having the students gathered for the week was a good thing in some ways.
"Making the Madden Student Center the hub of activity during the crisis that we actually were able to further develop community," said Michael Mihalya, Davis and Elkins Chancellor. "I personally spent time with people that I just haven't had a chance to do so."
Topics at this week's student government meeting included a coffee night in the library.
