Each time a disaster hits the Red Cross teams up with WVU to help.

Now, volunteers are raising Dollars for Disaster for victims of Sandy.

Dollars for Disaster has raised money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti and Hurricane Katrina but this time the money is staying a little closer home.

"It's hard to come by anyone around here who doesn't know someone affected by the hurricane. We still have thousands in Preston are either without power or still have needs and that's a connection very close to a lot of us. I think the impact has been great, it definitely hits home and people want to support that," said Alexis McMillen, of WVU.

Students can donate at booths in the Mountainlair, Engineering Sciences Lobby, and the Health Sciences Center cafeteria.
