SALEM -
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department two people were transported to the United Hospital Center on Saturday afternoon after their car was hit by a Sara Lee bread truck.
It happened at the intersection of Rt. 50 and Rt. 23 in the Salem area.
The Sheriff's Department said a car traveling south on Rt. 23 collided with the bread truck that was traveling east on Rt. 50.
The department said a woman, 32, and her son, 7, were taken to UHC following the accident. No details on their conditions were available.
The driver of the bread truck was not transported.
The sheriff's department is investigating the crash.
A portion of Rt. 23 where the accident occurred is currently closed to traffic.
