BRIDGEPORT -
The Barkery in Bridgeport held its holiday open house Saturday afternoon and invited Pet Helpers to hold an adoption event in its parking lot.
Both dogs and cats were at the event and up for adoption. Three dogs were adopted, and for Pet Helpers, any number of adoptions is a good thing.
"Even if we only adopted one it would be a wonderful day. We would like to have a few more, but we're going to be at PetCo next week in Morgantown from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. so hopefully some of them will go then too and we will have some puppies down there" said Terry Buretz, Pet Helpers Board Member.
There was even a photographer on hand to take pictures of customers' pets. Packages of the pictures were $20, and a portion of the sales were donated to Pet Helpers.
