A $50,000 grant from BB&T will allow West Liberty University to continue one of its most popular programs through its University Economics Club.

Wheeling native and Fox News Host Chris Stirewalt will return to the Friendly City at noon Nov. 21 at River City on Main Street in Wheeling for a program that will take a close look at the post-election climate of the nation.

"It is my pleasure to welcome Chris back to the podium for his thoughts and observations at this important time," Erik Root, associate professor of political science at WLU and chairman of the economics club, said in a news release. "Chris talks daily with political headline makers, and our students, alumni and the public will enjoy his presentation.

"We are grateful to BB&T for its ongoing support."

Stirewalt, digital politics editor for Fox News and host of "Power Play" on foxnews.com, is the former political editor for The State Journal. Stirewalt makes daily appearances on the Fox News Channel, and prior to joining Fox News was a political editor for The Washington Examiner.

Stirewalt started his career at the Wheeling Intelligencer, and then served as a legal reporter and then political editor at the Charleston Daily Mail.

Stirewalt, his wife, Mary, and their two sons live in Alexandria, Va.
