Buckhannon residents honored veterans and active duty servicemen and women Monday.
There was a Veterans Day parade followed by a special program recognizing Jimmie C Kittle.
Kittle has been a member of the honor guard in Upshur County for 65 years.
The people we talked to said we should always support our military.
"I like the tribute to the veterans. I come every year to see the veterans parade. I like to support them," said Shirley Squires, of Buckhannon.
"The veterans made us free, If we didn't have the veterans we wouldn't be here," said Margaret Kleckner, of Buckhannon.
Monday's Veterans Day events also included an educational program with the Boy Scouts, on the meaning of the pledge of allegiance and music for veterans.
