The Morgantown Police Department obtained warrants for the arrest of a Morgantown man in connection with a fatal hit and run accident that occurred on October 27 on Grafton Road in Morgantown.
Matthew Massie, 22, was identified as the driver of a Jeep Wrangler that struck Charity Walker on Grafton Road. Massie turned himself in to Morgantown Police and was released on $25,000 bond.
On October 27, police responded to a hit and run that occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Grafton Road near Postal Road.
The victim, identified as Walker, was taken from the scene to Ruby Memorial Hospital where she was treated and remained in critical condition until November 10, when she succumbed to her injuries, police said.
