The 14th annual Q for Kids radiothon is underway.
The event held by West Virginia Radio Corporation stations benefits the children at West Virginia University Children's Hospital.
Last year, the radiothon raised $102,000 and has raised $1.1 million the past 13 years.
Local families and patients were in attendance as well as a former NIQU baby, now a teen, who was happy to support the hospital that supported him.
"So they can figure out new cures, and have more money because if something bad goes wrong, say one of these kids is in an accident and they need to do really fast surgery, they'll have the money for the tools that they'll need," said Logan Sickles, a former patient.
The radiothon continues Friday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
