Morgantown Police arrested a Morgantown man on malicious wounding charges Thursday.
Police arrested Kraig Wire, 31, and charged him with two counts of malicious wounding.
According to a criminal complaint the accuser said an argument over money escalated, resulting in Wire punching and kicking the accuser.
The complaint said Wire also attempted to strangle and beat the accuser in the head with a board.
Wire threatened to kill the accuser if police were called, according to the criminal complaint.
Wire is in North Central Regional Jail on $200,000 bail.
