Veteran's Day was a few days ago but the strive to help and honor Veterans isn't just a one day effort.
The Jane Lew V.F.W. kicked off the holidays doing just that on Saturday afternoon.
The Ladies Auxiliary hosted its first Christmas Craft Bazaar in the American Legion building.
Fourteen vendors participated in Saturday's festivities.
Organizers said they wanted to come up with an interesting way to celebrate the season.
"Well, it just sounded like a fun thing to do. We have a lot of people in the area that are very talented and we wanted to showcase their talents and get everyone together and have a nice day, and I think we're doing that," said Liz Vincent, an organizer for the event.
