An East View man involved in an August hit and run died at Ruby Memorial Hospital late last week, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.
The Harrison County Sheriff's Department and Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney Joe Shaffer are awaiting results from the State Medical Examiner's Office to determine if Roscoe "Jack" Keener, 28, died as a result of the injuries sustained during the crash, according to Lt. Pat McCarty with the sheriff's department.
Keener's girlfriend, Amber Dawn Smith, allegedly was driving the car that hit Keener in East View. If the medical examiner's results indicate that Keener's death is a result of the crash, authorities will file a murder charge against Smith, according to McCarty.
