A local police department is looking to build up its staff.

The Clarksburg Police Department has 44 officers and is in the process of filling four additional positions, to bring the total to 48.

"Get up to full staff to get the officers in the neighborhoods to enforce laws we need to enforce and also work on the drugs and get as many drugs out of the city of Clarksburg as possible," said Chief Marshall Goff, of the Clarksburg Police Department.

Goff said it will be at least a few months before those new officers will be on duty.
