MORGANTOWN -

Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2013 is a local Morgantown High School student.

Haley Holloway was crowned three weeks ago in her first pageant competition. Holloway is gearing up for some appearances and looking forward to competing in this years national competition.

"We have to definitely focus on Nationals because it's a big thing. You're competing against 50 other gorgeous girls from around the whole United States," said Holloway. "I mean it's something we've got to buckle down and really concentrate on. It definitely gets intense but there's definitely moments of fun, and I'm very excited for it."

Holloway was trained by the owners of Lavish Boutique, Micah and Charlotte Michael. The two saw Holloway at the store shopping for prom dresses and thought she should try her luck in the pageant world.

The Michaels trained two winners of the Miss West Virginia Teen USA pageant. The Miss West Virginia Teen USA 2012 winner was runner up at nationals.

Holloway and Chelsea Welch, Miss West Virginia USA, will be at WVU Children's Hospital on Wednesday and the Ronald McDonald Charity Ball on New Years Eve.
