A non-profit group from Pennsylvania is helping West Virginians in need a few pounds of pasta at a time.

The Christian Laymen Corporation from Greensburg, Pennsylvania stopped by Hospice Care Corporation in Arthurdale Tuesday delivering 960 pounds of pasta.

The food was donated to the Christian Laymen by Delallo pasta.

It will create about 6,000 meals.

The organization started in the 90's with just a few people.

"We we're looking for something else to do other than being just a bunch of men, just men," said Curt Hoffman, of Christian Laymen Corporation. "And we feel the spirit led us to outreach."

Hospice Care is working local businesses to get enough sauce for the pasta. Hospice care said it also be contacting local churches and non-profits to distribute the food.
